Print tests with Omlab material:
sustainable and innovative
In recent weeks, we have been extensively experimenting with Omlab’s circular material. Using our Potterbot clay printers, we carried out multiple print tests – and with success.
The result? Beautiful prints, a solid structure, and a promising step towards more sustainable 3D printing.
Technical insights
The Omlab material is based on residual streams and is fully biobased. This makes it not only circular, but also safe and responsibly applicable. During the tests, what stood out most was that the material …
- excellently printable with clay printing technology, thanks to its homogeneous and stable consistency
- Offers fast drying time and shrinkage limitation, resulting in excellent dimensional stability.
- Cures strong and durable, significantly increasing its range of applications
- Remains environmentally friendly throughout all stages of the process, as it originates from renewable sources
With this combination of properties, Omlab material opens up new perspectives for both creative and industrial applications. For us, it is a confirmation that circular printing is not just a vision of the future, but already a reality today..
In the coming months, many more specific applications will be printed.
